Can I fit vinyl myself?

Vinyl is best fitted professionally because it can't be stretched. If you make a mistake and cut too much, the whole piece is ruined. It's very important to prepare your surface properly and cut accurately around awkward obstacles like loos, which requires fitting experience and the right tools for the job. All fitting by Allied is automatically guaranteed for 5 years.

What?s the difference between flexible and rigid vinyl tiles?

Flexible tiles can be folded to a certain extent without breaking, which makes fitting easier than rigid tiles. As with any type of vinyl floor, the end result will depend upon the preparation of the subfloor and the professionalism of the fitter.

Can I lay vinyl on floorboards or concrete?

You can lay vinyl on wood or concrete, as long as it is a smooth, flat surface free from dirt and dust. Any imperfections underneath will be seen in the final finish. Vinyl sheet flooring is normally laid loose but if the floor area is large it's a good idea to stick the vinyl down.

Can vinyl planks be fitted in the same way?

Fitting methods vary as some planks have an adhesive backing, while others need an adhesive applied.

How can I make my floor unique?

If you're using tiles, try creating a border or design in the middle of the floor. If you've chosen sheet vinyl, almost any kind of design can be created.
